This event will headline a celebratory African Aviation Week – championing best practice, market liberalisation and world-class safety standards across the continent.

Africa Aviation Week from 10-14 September, will unite Africa’s aviation community to celebrate success stories and discuss a tangible plan for delivering on the region’s much vaunted growth potential.

African Aviation Week is being held under the patronage of the Government of Rwanda and in partnership with the AviAssist Foundation – an organisation dedicated to promoting professionalism in African aviation safety; AviaDev – a forum focusing on growing connectivity to, from and within Africa; and RwandAir, the flag carrier airline of Rwanda, which operates 22 routes across the world.

GHI's Africa Stakeholder's Conference will kickstart the week with a keynote Big Debate: how does Africa deliver on the growth rhetoric? The outcomes of the debate will be written up as a manifesto for change and delivered to policy makers at the African Union.

We will also be discussing practical steps to solving challenges around security, safety and skills development on the apron in Africa, plus providing connectivity opportunities with our One-to-One Meetings service.

Max Gosney, GHI Chairman, said: “Maybe you’re a proud African aviation stakeholder or an Asian, Americas, European or Middle Eastern-based business who operates in the African market, it really doesn’t matter. Our African Aviation Week is about uniting everyone who believes in the industry’s future in Africa and ensuring that, collectively, we grasp the fantastic growth opportunity ahead. Please show your support by joining us in Kigali.”

African Aviation Week will comprise GHI’s 4th African Stakeholders’ Conference; and AviAssist’s Safety in African Aviation Conference on 13-14 September among a wealth of training events.
