The Academy of Aviation has stated that 2019 was their busiest year to date, with more students than ever taking their highly successful induction courses at their dedicated training facilities next to Dublin Airport. Academy of Aviation founder Ruth Thewlis says “Our specially constructed 4-day induction courses are proving to be our most successful courses. They are designed to assist individuals get their first step on the aviation career ladder. We place a considerable emphasis on mentoring our students, giving them insight into their chosen pathway and guidance on application to the many airlines, airports and ground handling service providers with which we work closely. We don’t exceed 12 on our courses and deliver all training at our bespoke training facility which allows for excellent communication between tutor and student.”

Later this year, AOA plan to add Aircraft Marshaller and Ground Handlers to their induction course to their Syllabus. The AOA training facility includes an Airbus Cabin Crew Training Cabin Simulator, Mock Up Check-In desks as well as Aircraft Safety Equipment Training Zone. The
