IBAC points to guidance on COVID-19
In light of the recent developments related to the outbreak of the
Corona Virus and the desire of the aviation community to have available
the most recent information, IBAC is delighted to announce that it has
joined the Collaborative Arrangement for the Prevention and Management
of Public Health Events in Civil Aviation (CAPSA). This partnership
includes ICAO, the World Health Organization, other UN agencies, the US
Center for Disease Control, EASA, and several aviation industry
associations. It will provide IBAC with the capability to access and
distribute the most recent information related to public health issues.
More information on CAPSCA can be found at www.capsca.org.
Below you will find recent information published by the World Health
Organization and the European Aviation Safety Agency related to
COVID-19. IBAC highlights the fact that the situation remains fluid and
points to the various guidance materials available on the dedicated CAPSCA website. As new information becomes available IBAC will make these available through the usual channels.
The expertise on how to manage the outbreak resides within the
appropriate national and global health authorities. As always, IBAC will
remain in close contact and coordination with the International Civil
Aviation Organization to be able to have access to this type of
information in a timely and trusted way.
