London Oxford/EGTK moves to CAT 6 RFFS
London Oxford Airport has moved to CAT 6 RFFS provision, all day, every day - no more 'on request'. This means permanent capability for the larger bizjets and makes OXF/EGTK a viable alternative/diversion at no notice for Globals, Gulfstreams and corporate airliners.
The airport’s infrastructure and capabilities were previously enhanced when it signed a contract for the manufacture of three new Angloco Scania Euro 6 fire appliances using the latest generation Scania commercial chassis. These 6×6-drive, 26 tonne vehicles hold 9,000 litres of water and foam, discharged from the main roof monitor at over 2,500 litres/minute.
