Million Air Sponsor Invader "Million Airess" to Normandy

Million Air FBO Houston Douglas A-26C Invader known “Million Airess,” which departed the Houston on June 1st.

The Million Air FBO chain invested in the restoration of the Conroe, Texas based 1944 built Douglas twin radial bomber. Million Air’s Houston Hobby Airport-based Part 145 MRO looks after the aircraft.

The aircraft saw action in Europe during WWII and later served in the Far East during the Korean Conflict as 41-39359. Retiring from military life it went to Conair Aviation as Tanker 21.

Routing via several US cities it headed across the pond refuelling in Iceland way to Cherbourg, France, carrying FAA registration N26BP. It flew in several formations with the D-Day Squadron in the Normandy area which were widely covered by TV stations across Europe.
